Try this to remember long digits!
Some months ago, I read a book named "How to improve your memory power?". In that book, the author gave some tips to remember list of items, phone numbers, some long digit numbers, person faces, day of a date and etc. But I couldnt use that tips, becoz I forgot that tips also. By correlating the first and second item we can easily remember the list of items in a given order. To remember numbers, he used peg system in which he assigned numbers to some alphabets. By making a word using that alphabets, we can easily remember long digits. But I couldnt remember the peg system:( Now I blogged the peg system, so in future I will see this post to remind the peg system ...
Peg system
1 - T, D
2 - N
3 - M
4 - R
5 - L
6 - J, SH, CH
7 - K, C, G
8 - F, V
9 - P, B
0 - Z, S
For example, take 35. For this number the word to be generated may be Mule or Male or something else contains m and l.
To remember 539742, first we separate into three two digits and generate a
peg word for each of them and then correlate the words.
Ex: 53 - LiMe
97 - BooK
42 - RuN
Frame one sentence, A big LiMe is reading a BooK which is running (Just an imagination :) 539742 is my friend's phone number and I remembered it using this method only.
